Majano Nosiola Trentino IGT 2023 - Francesco Poli
The Majano Nosiola Trentino IGT 2023 by Francesco Poli is an organic white wine that authentically interprets the character of Trentino-Alto Adige. Made from Nosiola grapes, a native variety of the region, it displays a luminous, clear, and brilliant platinum yellow color. On the nose, it releases a fresh and complex bouquet: crisp green apple, mirabelle plum, ripe apple, and lemon, enriched by elegant herbaceous notes of mint and lemon balm, provided by the wood aging. On the palate, it is dry and harmonious, with very low residual sugar that enhances the aromatic purity. The crisp structure and full-bodied consistency make it enveloping, while the balanced acidity provides freshness and liveliness. The finish is long and persistent, with fruity and citrus notes that underscore its elegance. The grapes, grown according to sustainable principles, are harvested and selected by hand, followed by a soft pressing. Fermentation takes place in small oak barrels at a controlled temperature, with a four-month aging period in barriques that adds depth and complexity without overpowering the varietal aromas. A versatile and refined wine, Majano Nosiola is ideal with fish dishes, spicy curries, cabbage rolls, and fresh cheeses, but also excels as a harmonious summer wine enjoyed on its own.
