The Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOC Riserva Cocciapazza 2021 BIO from Torre dei Beati originates in Loreto Aprutino, a highly suitable terroir in Abruzzo, and represents one of the most authentic and powerful expressions of the grape variety. Made from 100% Montepulciano grapes cultivated organically, it undergoes a 30-day maceration on the skins, with fermentation in steel and subsequent aging of 22 months in barrique, 70% of which are new. It presents an impenetrable ruby red color and an intense bouquet of black plum, sour cherry, currant, and blueberry jam, accompanied by floral notes and hints of licorice, cocoa, and tobacco. On the palate, it is warm and enveloping, savory and fruity, with silky tannins and extraordinary persistence. A wine of great structure and longevity, to be served at 18-20 °C in a wide goblet, perfect for pairing with important meat dishes and aged cheeses.
