Franco Mondo's Barbera d'Asti DOCG 2022 is a wine that elegantly reflects the great Piedmontese winemaking tradition. It features an intense, brilliant ruby red color that immediately captures the eye. The nose offers a broad and enveloping bouquet, dominated by fresh cherries and juicy plums, enriched by delicate floral notes of violet, hints of tobacco, and a spicy touch of cinnamon and vanilla. On the palate, it stands out for its rounded and lively character: the fruity freshness is supported by soft tannins and balanced acidity, giving the wine harmony and great drinkability. The finish is long, persistent, and three-dimensional, leaving a pleasant sensation that invites another sip. The grapes, hand-picked in the Asti vineyards, benefit from an ideal climate for the Barbera grape. Vinification involves gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature to best preserve the fruity aromas.
