Rosso Montefalco DOC 2021 from Adanti is an Umbrian red that interprets the terroir with a complex and highly balanced approach. It is made from Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Barbera, Merlot, and Cabernet grapes from different parcels between Arquata and Colcimino, on clay-limestone soils. Vinification in stainless steel with 15-day fermentation and maceration, followed by 12 months of aging in oak, creates a full-bodied yet smooth wine, capable of combining structure and dynamism. The color is intense ruby; the nose reveals cherry, currant, blackberry, plum, and balsamic notes typical of the Montefalco area. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with balanced tannins and a long finish. A territorial, precise, and highly gastronomic red.
