P.28 Merlot Cabernet Raboso Veneto IGT 2023 by La Montecchia Conte Emo Capodilista is a Venetian red with an intense and structured profile, obtained from a blend of Merlot, Cabernet, and Raboso from the Euganean Hills. The vines, trained using the spurred cordon system with a southern exposure between 20 and 120 meters above sea level, grow on medium-textured soils with trachytic outcrops. Harvesting is done by hand, maceration lasts approximately 6-8 days, and aging continues for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels and barriques, building depth and consistency of flavor. The color is intense ruby red, the persistent aroma recalls ripe fruit, while the sip is soft, savory, and long. Excellent with red meats, game, braised meats, cured meats, ragù, and aged or blue cheeses.
