Mazzamurello Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC Riserva 2022 from Torre dei Beati is a full-bodied organic red wine made from Montepulciano grapes grown in Loreto Aprutino on clay-limestone soils. Staggered harvests, table selection, cold pre-maceration, and a total of 30 days in stainless steel create a rich wine, which is then aged for 20 months in barriques with bâtonnage on the fine lees. The result is a profound, persistent, and balanced wine, where the intense fruit is enriched with floral and spicy aromas of remarkable elegance. On the palate, it displays freshness, progression, and surprising drinkability for this type of wine. An authoritative and modern Montepulciano Riserva, inspired by the Abruzzo elf that gives it its name.
