Virna Borgogno's Barolo Noi DOCG 2020 represents the essence of Piedmontese Nebbiolo, combining intensity and refinement. It features a deep, luminous ruby red, revealing a complex and layered bouquet. The nose reveals aromas of ripe cherries, dark plums, and blackcurrant, enriched by floral notes of violet and spicy accents of cinnamon. Subtle nuances of aromatic herbs, tobacco, and leather contribute to an elegant and intriguing aroma profile. On the palate, it reveals a powerful yet harmonious structure: finely integrated tannins support a velvety body and a long, persistent finish. Hints of chocolate and vanilla complete the experience, making every sip enveloping and memorable. The grapes, hand-picked in the limestone vineyards of Barolo, are vinified with gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature, to preserve their freshness and authenticity. Aged for approximately 24 months in large traditional oak barrels, this wine achieves balance, complexity, and elegance, elevating it to the rank of a great classic. Perfect paired with game dishes, roasts, or aged cheeses, Noi Barolo DOCG fully expresses the passion and tradition of the Virna Borgogno winery.
