Travaglini's Nebbiolo Coste della Sesia DOC 2024 comes from a selection of young vineyards in Gattinara, between 6 and 15 years old, chosen for freshness, fruit, and greater roundness. The rocky soils and 10-15 days of stainless steel vinification, aimed primarily at extracting the fruit, create a lively and highly digestible red. After three months in stainless steel and 6-8 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, the wine presents a bright ruby color and a fresh aromatic profile, featuring violets, roses, berries, and mineral notes. On the palate, it is balanced, savory, and pleasantly fresh. A younger and more versatile Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte, designed for an immediate yet unconventional approach.

Travaglini tells the story of Gattinara through the mineral power of the Valsesia Supervolcano, at the foot of Monte Rosa. Its vineyards, on granite, porphyry, and ferrous soils, produce an austere, elegant, and distinctive Nebbiolo. The fourth and fifth generations now lead the winery with passion, preserving an ancient tradition and bringing it to the forefront. With 56 hectares of vineyards, Travaglini is a key player in the region.
