Johann Blauburgunder Pinot Noir Alto Adige DOC 2023 - Tenuta Brunnenhof
Pinot Noir Johann 2023 Magnum – Brunnenhof is produced in Mazzon, the most suitable slope of Alto Adige for this grape variety, at 400 meters above sea level on clay soils. The grapes are harvested by hand and fermented in a large wooden barrel, where the must remains in contact with the skins for two weeks; the cap is dipped by hand several times a day to delicately extract color and aromas. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for a year in 500-liter tonneaux and another 8–10 months in large barrels, a slow process that refines its tannic texture and fragrance. In the glass, it is intense ruby, with a profile that combines alcoholic smoothness, elegant tannins, and a well-integrated hint of wood. The palate is harmonious, precise, and clean, faithful to the Brunnenhof style: it leaves room for the fruit and the terroir, without forcing it. A Pinot Noir of Alpine finesse, capable of evolving gracefully in the magnum format.

Brunnenhof is a historic 200-year-old estate run since 1999 by Johanna and Kurt, who cultivate 5 hectares following ecological principles and deep respect for their land. Clay and limestone soils, Garda winds and strong temperature shifts define the character of their wines. The cellar philosophy is minimal intervention: slow fermentations, respect for the fruit and measured aging. The result is authentic, expressive wines faithful to the vintage, crafted by a true family of independent winemakers.
