Motta del Lupo Nero di Troia BIO 2023 – Paolo Petrilli is a pure Apulian red wine made from Nero di Troia grapes grown according to organic farming standards, with manual harvesting and rigorous vineyard practices to preserve the integrity and quality of the fruit. After gentle pressing and destemming, fermentation takes place in stainless steel with regular pumping over and aging in barrique, lending depth and complexity to the aromatic profile. In the glass, it presents an intense ruby red with aromas of ripe berries, cherry, sweet spices, and a slight hint of vanilla, supported by balanced and silky tannins. The palate is full-bodied yet harmonious, with well-balanced freshness and acidity and a lingering finish that invites a second tasting. This Nero di Troia is a clear example of how a native Apulian variety can express itself directly and authentically, ideal with grilled red meats, game, rich ragùs, and flavorful cheeses. Its structure and accessible drinkability make it suitable for both convivial moments and more attentive tastings.
