The Spumante Metodo Classico Extra Brut – Monserrato 1973 is a high-quality Italian sparkling wine, produced from a blend of Falanghina and Fiano grapes grown in the hilly vineyards of Monserrato, Benevento (Campania), on tuffaceous and clayey soils with southwest exposure. Vinification involves a secondary fermentation in the bottle according to the Metodo Classico, with a minimum of 24 months of maturation on the lees, which gives the bubbles finesse, structure, and a pleasant creaminess. In the glass, it presents a bright straw yellow color and a very fine perlage, while the balanced bouquet expresses delicate aromas of white flowers, ripe citrus, and mineral notes typical of the Sannio region. On the palate, it is dry, fresh, and savory, with a refined aromatic profile and a persistence that enhances the flavor dynamics. The balance between acidity and aromatic richness makes it ideal for accompanying seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. This Extra Brut pairs well with risottos, fish dishes, soups, shellfish, molluscs, light fried foods, and pizza, offering a versatile and contemporary tasting experience.
