Cinqueterre DOC 2023 Extreme Wine - Forlini Cappellini
Cinqueterre DOC 2023 Forlini Cappellini comes from the terraced vineyards of Manarola, where viticulture is still a daily practice requiring toil and dedication. Bosco, Albarola, and Vermentino grapes grow on pergolas nestled between the sea and the rock, on steep plots that require manual harvesting and crate selection. The wine ferments in stainless steel at a controlled temperature and ages for several months in tanks, preserving its territorial character. In the glass, it appears an intense straw yellow, with aromas of citrus, Mediterranean herbs, and wildflowers. On the palate, it is savory, fresh, and linear, with a clean finish that recalls the minerality of the Ligurian cliffs. A simple and direct white, born from "extreme" viticulture, capable of expressing the strength of a unique terroir and the meticulous work of the Forlini Cappellini family.

The Forlini Cappellini family grows vines in Manarola, in the heart of the Cinque Terre, following a tradition begun with Alberto and Germana and now carried on by Giacomo and Alessia. The vineyards are terraces suspended between sea and mountains, planted with Bosco, Albarola and Vermentino, as shown in the technical sheet. A manual, demanding and authentic viticulture that preserves the landscape and produces identity-driven wines, including the famous Sciacchetrà.
