Tempranillo Rioja D.O.Ca 2021 Vinedos Pujanza
The Tempranillo Rioja D.O.Ca 2021 from Viñedos Pujanza is an elegant and authentic red, produced in the heart of Rioja Alavesa with 100% Tempranillo grapes. The vines, with an average age of approximately 35 years, grow at an altitude of 600 meters on clay-limestone soils, conditions that favor concentration, balance, and finesse. Vinification involves a five-day pre-fermentation maceration, followed by fermentation in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24 to 26°C. Subsequent contact with the skins lasts approximately twenty days, while the wine is aged in French oak barrels for twelve months. The result is a wine with a fruity and spicy profile, good structure, balanced tannins, and pleasant depth. Versatile at the table, it pairs well with red meats, game, braised meats, ragùs, cured meats, and aged cheeses. Serve at 15°C.

Viñedos Pujanza was founded in Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, from the vision of Carlos San Pedro, a fifth-generation winemaker. The project is based on enhancing the terroir through estate-owned vineyards and dedicated vinification of individual parcels, enhancing the character of each plot. The winery cultivates approximately 40 hectares and creates wines that accurately interpret the Rioja terroir, combining tradition, research, and a profound attention to quality at every stage of production.
