The Pinot Noir "Domaine de Valmoissine" Louis Latour 2021 is a red wine of remarkable elegance, born in the clayey and calcareous soils of the #39;ancient monastery of Valmoissine. It has a brilliant ruby ​​red colour. The sense of smell is stimulated by delicate and complex aromas of small red fruits, undergrowth, cherries, licorice and coffee. In the mouth it is soft, delicate, elegant and subtle, with good freshness and velvety tannins. Perfect in combination with red meats, mushrooms, cheeses and vegetables.

In the heart of Var, on the southern coast of France, Louis Latour has been growing Pinot Noir since 1989 on the grounds of the ancient Valmoissine monastery, with the aim of producing an elegant and refined red.

Terroir and Viticulture

The vineyards of the Domaine de Valmoissine, about 15 years old, extend over clayey soils and calcareous at 500 meters above sea level. The southern exposure, the Mediterranean climate and the perfect alternation between sunny days and cool nights favor the ripening of the grapes and a good aromatic concentration.

Vinification and Aging

The vinification takes place in open steel tanks, while the aging takes place in steel for about 12 months. This expression, thanks to the favorable climate, reaches its radiance and fresh softness without any aging in wood.
